EURO IV, V, VI?
These are a series of stringent European legislative requirements to define the limits of exhaust emissions. They are aimed at reducing the amount of particulates emitted from the exhaust of Commercial Vehicles.
DPF, SCR, EGR?
In order to meet this legislation, truck, bus & coach engine manufacturers have installed various after treatment devices in order to convert pollutants within the exhaust system. These include DPF (Diesel Particulate Filters), SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) & EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation).
